Easy at Home Nail Art

Hey y'all,

I just wanted to share an easy at home nail tutorial that everyone should be able to complete on their own nails.

What you need:
Nail polish
top coat
gold or silver permanent marker (I got mine here)

Directions
1.Paint nails with 2 coats of the desired polish
2. Let the nails completely dry
3. Take silver or gold permanent marker and place a small dot on the nail by just touching the point of the marker to the nail and lifting it right back up. Make sure to keep the marker straight up and not leaning to one side.
4. Continue to make many dots on each nail
5. Once you have finished applying dots to each nails let them sit and dry for a couple minutes
6. Apply top coat and allow appropriate dry time

I really love how mine come out! They are easy, cute, and they are on point with the gold/silver polka dot trend!
I will be continuing with more permanent marker nail art next week!

Our Wedding

Hello All

Today my husband and I are celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary!
Since its our anniversary I wanted to share our special day with you.

I seriously had the best time at my wedding. I had a really great group of people who helped me out during the wedding. I have the best friends any bride could ask for. I also had amazing family and friends, amazing parents, and amazing vendors. From the beginning I really had a vision for my wedding and I don't think any of it would have come into play if I didn't have the people I did surrounding me and helping me along the way.

It helps that every time I pass a wedding picture I smile because my day was captured SO perfectly. I am tearing up just typing it because I think pictures are so important. Pictures really tell a story and capture a moment, a feeling, a smell. And if you have a really good picture taken, you can feel those feelings again just by glancing at the picture. I have that feeling... And I owe it all to my photographer Molly from Mthree Studio Photography. I really wanted someone who could capture the raw intimate moments that we would be having while saying our vows. I take marriage very seriously and I think that a wedding is about as intimate as it gets. I didn't want someone to come in and say "stand here, do this, put your arm here! ". I really wanted it to be very natural. I wanted it to be just very raw. Don't get me wrong, Molly gave direction when needed but also sat back and let the pure magical moments happen. She was wonderful. . I really think Molly got the vision I had.. and in looking at her previous pictures I understood her as well. She captured every moment that I wanted to live over and over again. I 100% recommend Mthree Studio! Click here to read the beautiful blog post Molly did of our wedding.

I don't even have words to describe how much I love this man! All I can say is if you have a wedding in the Chicago area CALL HIM! I'm going to try to keep this short but I don't know if I can. TAYLOR & CO did a LOT for my wedding including: wedding planner, Decor, ALL FLORAL, rentals (chairs, lounge, chandelier, table cloths, table decor, ect), set up of wedding and take down. Honestly, this isn't even half of what he did. He was by my side ever step of the way. During the wedding I would go to turn around and ask him a question and he had already done what I was going to ask him to do! I swear!! Here is a little example of how wonderful this man is.. My cake was dropped on the day of my wedding. THIS MAN.. my planner.. turned into a baker and fixed my cake. He frosted it, broke a bracelet and added the pieces to the damaged areas, he even took flowers and put them on the cake to cover where it was cracked. You would have NEVER known it was dropped!! I love that man with all my heart.

BEST DJ OF ALL TIME! I've never seen the dance floor packed the entire night!

Shark Week

In horror of the greatest week ever...
SHARK WEEK!

I wanted to create a dark bloody water look
To achieve this look I used a deep red and a black
I first painted the red at the tips of my nails ( don't worry it can be messy)
Then I covered my natural nail with the black and took the black all the way down till it touched the red.
The nails should have a blended look to them. I did drag the black on top of the red in some areas.
If you got polish everywhere its okay! Clean it up with a nail brush and polish remover or a Q-tip and nail polish remover.

Duuun dun duuun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun

aAaaAAAAAHHHH!

Now you have a scene from JAWS on your nails!

XOXO,
