Pink Of Hearts

Hey Dolls

So today is a review of the OPI's Pink Of Hearts 2013 Nail duo.
In this kit you get a glitter polish called "More than glimmer. This glitter polish is a limited edition for breast cancer awareness month. Not only is it limited but its also a MATTE GLITTER! Sayyyy WHAT!? Yes, a matte glitter! You also get the polish "Pink-ing of you". PLUS! Yes, more.. You get free crystal and pink ribbon decals. If you follow me on Instagram I had posted a picture saying that I wanted this really bad! I was soooo excited when I was at the beauty supply store looking for a new hair product and found it!
So lets just jump right into it!

This is just MORE THAN A GLIMMER on clean nails. One has a top coat and the other does NOT. You cant really tell the difference. I have to say, I was really impressed with the glitter itself! I love that they used silver, pink, and teal glitter together. I also love that they used different sized glitter. I applied 4 coats to achieve this look.  I'm VERY impressed OPI!

So PINK-ING OF YOU was way more work! This color is very sheer nail polish. I applied 3 coats to achieve this look but wanted more! I do like the color but I don't see myself grabbing for this polish often.

I do REALLY like the combination of the pink and glitter! OMG its like my all time favorite party nails! I swear I wish I had this glitter a long time ago! I know a lot of people are into sparkle, sequins, glitter,  and gold dots right now! I happen to be one of those girls! I'm like a bass fish, I go to anything that is shiny! This is the ultimate party girl nail! I could see myself wearing this for a bachelorette party, a kids party, or a girls night out! I would also wearing the glitter over BLACK polish  for New Years! OMG! SOOO SMART! Sorry, just had a moment! Or a white polish with the glitter would look very nice! It has lots of color in the glitter so it would stand out! Or a silver! That might look nice! Me, I'm going to apply it over anything!  The only thing I wasn't very happy about was the pink ribbon. It is almost the same color as the nail polish! Impossible to see if you put it on with this pink color. I did have it on in the picture above.
Leave me a comment if you can spot it!

You can find this PINK OF HEARTS 2013 DUO SET at your local Ulta or online at Ulta by clicking  here .

I'm always looking for ways to improve my shabby chic home and this is obviously one way to do that. I am totally in love with lace and burlap. I also love garlands. I'm thinking this would look beautiful in someones home above a bed, on the fireplace mantel, for a birthday party or wedding. Personally I would put this hanging from my fire place. So, many of you may know that I struggle with multiple bone, joint, and muscle diseases. I visit many doctors and have multiple hospital visits. Its almost impossible to keep everything medically organized. Each doctor wants to know who you have seen and when and what happened, and what medication where you prescribed and what tests did they run! BLAH BLAH BLAH!! Oh my favorite is " and when did you have that surgery?" They hell if I know!! It was years ago!  Well, Monica from Fresh and Organized has saved me! In this instant download you get so many vital things that you need to keep up with your never ending doctor appointments! Not to mention my medical binder would be the first thing I grabbed in a fire! Oh and the prescription tracker. I wish I had that 7 years ago when I first started my journey to getting healthy. Its SO hard to go into a doctor apt. and have them ask you if you have ever tried this medication. I don't know about you but I think a ton of medicine all sounds the same. How should I know? I might have taken it 10 years ago and it didn't work.. why take it all over again! Monica was nice enough to send me the Medical Binder Kit for free and I LOVE IT
THANK YOU MONICA!

Gold edition

$75.00

With medical issues, a husband who is a fireman, and tons of dates to remember its VERY hard to have your life in order. I recently came across this Erin Condren Planner and thought it was totally cute. Not only is it fashionable but the customization keeps it at the top of my list. If you have a crazy life and need a little organization in it I highly recommend this Life Planner for you!

DIY Lipstick Art

Hello Dolls,

Today I have a very simple DIY project. We will be using lipstick to make a very cute piece of art. As most of you know I am redoing my office so I need cute prints to frame on my wall in the office. I have purchased most of my prints from Pearls and Pastries, a couple other etsy shops, plus made some of my own prints on the computer. I thought this DIY project would go great with what I have already. Enough said, lets jump right into this!

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
DO NOT USE "GOOD LIPSTICKS". THE LIPSTICK YOU USE WILL GET TRASHED DURING THE MAKING OF THIS ART!

Items Needed:
Paper that says "Lipstick"
&
Lipsticks

1. Select a piece of paper and either type on the computer the word lipstick and print or hand write the word lipstick

2. Place paper on a clean flat surface

3. Pick around 5-7 Lipstick colors

4.   Arrange them how you want them to look on paper

5.  Pick up the first lipstick and start to draw in up and down motions on the paper
( I did not press very hard because I didn't have any junk lipsticks to trash)

6. Repeat step 5 until you are done with all of the lipsticks

7. Allow 24 hour dry time

8. Frame, hang, and enjoy!

 XOXO,

Easy at Home Nail Art

Hey y'all,

I just wanted to share an easy at home nail tutorial that everyone should be able to complete on their own nails.

What you need:
Nail polish
top coat
gold or silver permanent marker (I got mine here)

Directions
1.Paint nails with 2 coats of the desired polish
2. Let the nails completely dry
3. Take silver or gold permanent marker and place a small dot on the nail by just touching the point of the marker to the nail and lifting it right back up. Make sure to keep the marker straight up and not leaning to one side.
4. Continue to make many dots on each nail
5. Once you have finished applying dots to each nails let them sit and dry for a couple minutes
6. Apply top coat and allow appropriate dry time

I really love how mine come out! They are easy, cute, and they are on point with the gold/silver polka dot trend!
I will be continuing with more permanent marker nail art next week!

Our Wedding

Hello All

Today my husband and I are celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary!
Since its our anniversary I wanted to share our special day with you.

I seriously had the best time at my wedding. I had a really great group of people who helped me out during the wedding. I have the best friends any bride could ask for. I also had amazing family and friends, amazing parents, and amazing vendors. From the beginning I really had a vision for my wedding and I don't think any of it would have come into play if I didn't have the people I did surrounding me and helping me along the way.

It helps that every time I pass a wedding picture I smile because my day was captured SO perfectly. I am tearing up just typing it because I think pictures are so important. Pictures really tell a story and capture a moment, a feeling, a smell. And if you have a really good picture taken, you can feel those feelings again just by glancing at the picture. I have that feeling... And I owe it all to my photographer Molly from Mthree Studio Photography. I really wanted someone who could capture the raw intimate moments that we would be having while saying our vows. I take marriage very seriously and I think that a wedding is about as intimate as it gets. I didn't want someone to come in and say "stand here, do this, put your arm here! ". I really wanted it to be very natural. I wanted it to be just very raw. Don't get me wrong, Molly gave direction when needed but also sat back and let the pure magical moments happen. She was wonderful. . I really think Molly got the vision I had.. and in looking at her previous pictures I understood her as well. She captured every moment that I wanted to live over and over again. I 100% recommend Mthree Studio! Click here to read the beautiful blog post Molly did of our wedding.

I don't even have words to describe how much I love this man! All I can say is if you have a wedding in the Chicago area CALL HIM! I'm going to try to keep this short but I don't know if I can. TAYLOR & CO did a LOT for my wedding including: wedding planner, Decor, ALL FLORAL, rentals (chairs, lounge, chandelier, table cloths, table decor, ect), set up of wedding and take down. Honestly, this isn't even half of what he did. He was by my side ever step of the way. During the wedding I would go to turn around and ask him a question and he had already done what I was going to ask him to do! I swear!! Here is a little example of how wonderful this man is.. My cake was dropped on the day of my wedding. THIS MAN.. my planner.. turned into a baker and fixed my cake. He frosted it, broke a bracelet and added the pieces to the damaged areas, he even took flowers and put them on the cake to cover where it was cracked. You would have NEVER known it was dropped!! I love that man with all my heart.

BEST DJ OF ALL TIME! I've never seen the dance floor packed the entire night!
